The oldest and smallest of the four parks that make up the Disneyworld Orlando Resort. Don't be deceived. Disney has packed a lot of magic into 107 acres and by the end of a day you will have walked the equivalent of several miles. It opened in 1971 and I think it is the most magical of all the Themeparks. Don't miss this park! Of all the parks the Magic Kingdom is the one that best catches the true spirit and magic of Disney. Although the favorite of families, it is not just a park for children. There is truly something for everyone here. The Magic Kingdom has seven lands each with a different theme. Main Street, Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and Mickey's Toontown Fair. The rides, attractions, and shows are scattered throughout these different lands. Magic Kingdom is shaped like a wheel. On entering the park, you find yourself on Main
Street U.S.A, a replica of small town America at
the turn of the 20th century. Main Street leads to a central plaza in front of Cinderella's Castle.
This acts as the hub of the wheel. The pathways leading from this hub are the spokes leading to
the
different lands which are arranged around the wheels outer rim. Although it pays to have an idea of the attractions you are most interested in before entering the park, the best advise I can give you is to not be too rigid with planning. Many things such as crowd levels and, in particular, weather conditions are unpredictable and can change in an instant, so be prepared to be flexible as your plans will have to be altered to adapt to changing situations. Headline Rides: Space Mountain: (Tomorrowland), Splash Mountain: (Frontierland), Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: (Frontierland). Don't miss: The Pirates of the Caribbean: (Adventureland), The Haunted Mansion:(Liberty Square), Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin: (Tomorrowland), Peter Pan's Flight: (Fantasyland), Mickey's Philharmagic: (Fantasyland),The Jungle Cruise (Adventureland), The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh and It's a Small World (Fantasyland.) .
