Magic Carpets Of Aladdin
Enchanted Tiki Room
Jungle Cruise
Pirates Of The Caribbean
Swiss Family Treehouse
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin ride is a fairly new addition to the Magic Kingdom/Adventureland attractions line up. It is located in
the
heart of Agrabah close to the Enchanted Tiki Room and
the Swiss Family Tree house. This is a more elaborate version of a typical carnival midway ride. Long
arms reach out from a central hub and move riders up and down in cars (magic carpets) that seat
four passengers
as they revolve around the central hub. It is designed to look like a giant genie lamp..
If you have ever ridden the Dumbo ride in Fantasyland, then this will look and feel very
familiar
to you. The main difference being that the riders in the front seats have control over the up and
down
movement of the carpet, and the riders in the rear seats have control of tilting the carpet backward and
forward.
Watch out for a camel that spits water at you as you ride past!
This is a very short ride (around 80 seconds) and as it loads very slowly the lines at busy times
are long.
My Verdict:
If you have small children or just feel nostalgic for your childhood days wait in line
otherwise give this one a miss.
TIP:
From my daughter Barbara Age 9: " I love this ride. I think that it is a lot more fun than
Dumbo and the lines for Magic Carpets Of Aladdin are far shorter than the Dumbo ride. So if
you want to go up in the air try the magic carpets instead of Dumbo."
