Magic Kingdom
Frontierland
Adventureland
Main Street
Frontierland is a mix of attractions and rides representing the pioneer, gold rush, and wild west
eras of America as it expanded westward, in the early 19th through the turn of the 20th
century.
Appropriately, the western most land in the Magic Kingdom, Frontierland can be accessed
from Adventureland or Liberty Square. You will
know when you have arrived when the sound of banjo music fills the air mingled with loud
screams
which come from the excited (or terrified) riders of Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain
Railroad,
This popular lands two major thrill rides.
Looking around it is not hard to feel that you have stepped back in time to an old west town. The
buildings are clapboard
and have wide boardwalks as well as hitching posts for horses. There is even a saloon (no alcohol
served here though). It is easy to imagine the likes of Davey Crocket, Buffalo Bill, Wyatt Earp
Billie the Kid,
and Jessie James walking streets just like this.
Frontierland is on the "Rivers Of America." Rafts are available to take the short ride over to Tom
Sawyers Island. The Walt Disneyworld Railroad makes a stop at the Frontierland Station.
