At around 230 acres Epcot is over twice the size of the Magic Kingdom. It has
two sections: Future World and World Showcase. (Two parks for the price of one.) When it
opened,Epcot changed forever the
idea that themeparks were only for children.
At first, attendance was light as it had the reputation
as being more educational than fun (wrong in my opinion). However, over the last few years
Disney has
added twothrill rides (Test Track, Mission Space) and a gigantic aquarium (The Living Seas), as
well
as revamping old attractions
to create what my family and many others
think is the most entertaining of all the parks!
has pavilions instead of lands. They are spread out to the east and west of Spaceship Earth, the huge Geosphere (think giant golf ball) that dominates Epcot.
To the east are The Universe of Energy, The Wonders of Life (open seasonally), Mission Space (thrill ride), and Test Track. (thrill ride.) To the west are The Living Seas (massive aquarium), The Land, and Imagination.
Headline Attractions: Mission Space, Test Track, Soarin' (Located inside The Land pavilion.)
Don't Miss: The Universe of Energy (Ellen's Energy Adventure), The Living Seas, Spaceship

also has pavilions spread around a 40 acre lagoon, each one devoted to a different country. They are Canada, United Kingdom, France, Morocco, Japan, The American Adventure, Italy, Germany, China, Norway, and Mexico.
Each land is a mix of shops, restaurants, street theater, and other forms of live entertainment. Some ( Canada, France, China , The American Adventure, Norway, and Mexico) have attractions.(movies, audio animatronics or boat rides.)
While a visit to Epcot can in no way can be compared to actually visiting the countries depicted, it is a wonderful, entertaining (and yes educational) way to experience a little of what each country has to offer. Above all it is great fun!
Where else can you go shopping in China, enjoy lunch at a British pub, visit a Mexican pyramid, and eat dinner in a Parisian Bistro all in the space of one day!
A complete circuit around the lagoon and around the world is just over a mile so bring your walking shoes !
Don't overlook the World Showcase as the Entertainment, Restaurants, Shops and attractions are all world class. It is truly a unique experience.
Be sure to see Illuminations, the firework and laser show, held on the lagoon at park closing time. It is a spectacular, one of a kind experience. Words could never do it justice!

Future World is definitely the favorite of Children and Teenagers whereas World showcase with its many different dining, shopping, drinking and entertainment venues is the park of choice for many adults. It is also a great place for good old fashioned people watching.
