Mountain, is Undoubtedly one of the best themed and most thrilling attractions in the Magic Kingdom, it is much much more than a log flume ride. Many guests are intimidated by the long
drop and potential soaking and pass up this attraction. This is a shame as they miss out on
some of best examples of Disney animatronic magic to be seen anywhere.!! The story revolves around Brer Fox and Brer Bear's attempts to catch Brer Rabbit before he can reach his laughing spot. Riding in log like boats that navigate a twisting turning river, you pass by peaceful country scenes and through swamps, bayous and dark caves. There are also several small but significant drops along the way. The happy upbeat music and the fabulous animatronic figures (some of Disney's best) will keep you entertained until reaching the climax of the ride, a thrilling five story plunge into the briar patch pool. The final scene as you exit is of a massive rocking showboat with 12 animatronic figures singing a showstopping version of Zip A Dee Doo Dah. The storyline doesn't much matter in this visually stunning and thrilling ride, but the more times you ride the more you understand and appreciate the antics of Brer Fox, Brer Bear, and Brer Rabbit. My Verdict: Not to be missed! One of the Magic Kingdom and Disney's best. TIP: Ride Splash Mountain as soon as the Frontierland opens, during parades, or right before
closing. At
all other times
if the wait time is long get a fast pass and return at the designated time.
