Going to Disneyworld-Orlando? GREAT! But before you go, a little advance planning will be in order.

Don't worry, this is all part of the fun!

I will guide you through all the many wonderful and magical things that only a DisneyWorld vacation/holiday can provide.

This page is intended to give a brief introduction to everything the Disneyworld-Orlando Resort has to offer

(well almost everything.)

I'm not going to get into complicated touring plans,

as I think that part of the fun of a DisneyWorld vacation is exploring and discovering this magical world for yourself.

All the information you will ever need to plan and enjoy a Disneyworld Orlando vacation/holiday is right here at your fingertips.

As longtime Florida residents, my family and I have been visiting Disneyworld-Orlando for many years.

Also, in my time as a hotel concierge, I learned a thing or two about what makes great Florida vacations.

My family ranges in ages from 9 to 90, so we have experienced Disney from just about every angle. In the pages of The-Best-Florida-Online-Guide, I will share our experiences gained over many years with you.

Questions I have been asked many times over the years are,

  • How can I save money at Disney World?
  • Where can I find cheap food?
  • Are Disney resorts worth the money?
  • When is the best time to visit DisneyWorld?
  • Is there anything to do at DisneyWorld outside the parks?
  • Are there any free or cheap things to do at Disneyworld?
My aim in writing this guide is to try to answer these and many other questions.

For example, did you know that there are many fun, exciting, and interesting Disney World activities that do not require paying to enter any of the major theme parks? In fact, many are free or cheap to enjoy. My family and I have spent years discovering this other side of Disneyworld-Orlando, a side that goes largely unnoticed and unreported.Click here to gain access to this invaluable money saving information.

I realize that I can't compete with the big sites for sheer volume of information (I am, after all, just one person with help/interference from family). I hope that I make up for that by providing information you may not easily find anywhere else and providing a more personal experience.

As you browse this page, you will find links to more in depth information on each topic. Be sure to keep checking back as I will constantly be adding new and updated content.

Disneyworld-Orlando is vast. It covers about 47 square miles and contains four theme parks, two water parks, over 20 hotels, two shopping/ nightclub and entertainment districts (Pleasure Island and Boardwalk), restaurants of all kinds, and much much more.

Below you will find a list with brief descriptions and links to just some of the many and varied activities waiting to be discovered at Disney world:

The Major Theme Parks

Magic Kingdom

Epcot

MGM Studios

The Animal Kingdom

Water Parks

Typhoon Lagoon

Blizzard Beach

Downtown Disney Village

The Disney village is a shopping and entertainment complex which is made up of three separate areas:

Downtown Disney Marketplace: Disney themed Shopping, and restaurants

Pleasure Island : Nightclubs, restaurants, and bars (Requires admission fee at night).

Downtown Disney Westside: shopping including the second largest Virgin MegaStore in the world, restaurants, a Multi screen Movie Complex, and more.

Westside is also home to

Disney Quest (Interactive computer games)and Cirque Du Soleil/ La Nouba (To call this a circus does not do it justice)!

Also, in the Downtown Disney village area, you will find Hotels, Golf Courses and much much more!

Disney's Boardwalk

A second entertainment district is located at Disney's Boardwalk Resort. It features nightclubs (some require a cover charge), an ESPN sports bar and Grill, a brew pub, restaurants, shopping, and street entertainers.. It is designed to resemble an old fashioned Coney Island style seaside resort and is very lively at night.

Fort Wilderness

One of Disney's best kept secrets is the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. Don't be fooled by the word "campground." Hidden away but within sight of the Magic Kingdom, this wilderness area has a wealth of family activities most of which are not advertised. To find out more click here

Disneyworld-Orlando is a lot of fun to explore but it can be an exhausting experience if you don't have some kind of a plan in mind. Don't try to do too much in one day, eat when you get hungry, drink plenty of water, and take rest breaks when you feel tired. These may seem obvious but many people forget these basic rules in their rush to experience everything Disney world Orlando has to offer.
