If you are looking for a really cheap way to vacation and are prepared to give up a half day of your time check ebay for heavily discounted vacation packages which include a mandatory timeshare presentation. These are especially valuable if you are going to to Disney World or Orlando as they will generally include free theme park tickets as well as accommodations.
They are terrific deals you won't find the kind of prices they offer anywhere else. Your only obligation is to attend a two to three hour sales presentation. If you are not interested in buying a timeshare property don't worry, there is absolutely no way they can make you buy, they will usually make you up to three offers each a little cheaper, all you have to do is politely keep saying no. Having been a timeshare salesman I can tell you that more people say no than yes. If you are not interested in attending a sales presentation, watch out for very cheap vacation offers on the internet that include Disney or other theme park tickets. Read the small print carefully. Somewhere you will probably find words like, vacation ownership (another term for timeshare) and take a tour of our beautiful resort. These are red flags, read on with caution. What these words usually mean is that you will have to attend a sales presentation and if you don't you will have to pay a substantial penalty.

Please understand I believe vacation ownership can be a very cost effective and fun way of vacationing. But I also believe that before you book a vacation that includes a sales presentation, you should understand what you will be letting yourself in for.

Disney like to encourage those of us lucky enough to live in the great state of Florida to visit their parks regularly so to entice us in, they offer discounts on most theme park tickets and on annual passes. These discounts can be substantial.

Florida residents also have access to a seasonal annual pass which has certain blackout dates but is much cheaper than the regular annual pass. Also available to Florida residents is a special annual pass which allows access only to Epcot and only after 4PM. This is a bargain if you live close enough to Disneyworld to take advantage of it.

Florida residents should only buy direct from Disney as they receive substantial discounts that ticket brokers can't match.

To qualify for Florida resident discounts, you must be able to prove residency in the state. Acceptable forms of ID are a valid Florida drivers license, Florida State ID card with Florida address, voters registration along with photo ID, student ID from a Florida college, Florida based military ID.
