Should I Buy Extra Days?
Buying Extra Days Can Mean Big Savings. Remember the more days you purchase on your Tickets, the cheaper the cost per day. For
example, a five day ticket
with
hopper option and no expiration date would cost $340.80 or $68.16 a day. A ten day pass with the
same options would cost $479.25 or $47.93 a day.
If you plan on staying five days or longer and will
be returning to
Disney at some other time, a 10 day no expiration Ticket would make good economic sense.
Over
the
two trips you would save $138.45 by purchasing one 10 day instead of two five day passes and will
also be protected against any increases in park admission.
Do I need To Buy Add On Options For Short Trips?
Foe short trips think carefully before buying any extras. If your trip to Disney is going to be for four days or less and you are not sure if or
when you will
be coming back, the only Disney ticket that makes good economic sense is the base pass. The
only
option I
might consider in this circumstance would be park hopper privileges but only if my trip would be
at least three days, as it will add $45 to the cost of the pass.

If In Doubt Buy A Base Ticket
If you are still not sure which Disney ticket or pass to buy, my advice would be to buy base
tickets
for the
number of days you think you will need. You can always buy admissions to the water parks,
Pleasure Island, and Disneyquest, separately.
Another option is to upgrade your Disney tickets
after
arrival. Just go to any Disney guest services window and they will be happy to help you add on
the option or options you would like for the appropriate fee. This can be done anytime up to 14
days after first use of the tickets. Any upgrades must be made while at Disney. They cannot be
done over the phone or online..

Should I Buy An Annual Pass?
If You plan on returning to Disney World more than once in a 366 day period and particularly if
you will be staying at a Disney Resort consider an annual pass. At many times of the year Disney
offer big discounts at their Resorts to pass holders as well as free parking at the themeparks, and discounts on food and other
merchandise. Only one adult needs to have a pass to get the discounts for the whole family.
Before you consider an annual pass carefully consider all other ticketing options maybe an annual
pass is best for you maybe not.. Don't forget to factor in the savings from any available pass
holder discounts (which can be considerable) when making any decision. And think carefully
about exactly when you will be returning to Disney World.
For example if you plan on visiting Disney World for two, five day vacations, compare the cost
of a 10 day no expiration park hopper ticket to that of an annual pass. Annual pass cost $477.12 (
No water fun Options) Premium Annual pass $616.64(includes water fun options). Ten day no
expiration park hopper ticket $479.25(with advance purchase and no water park option) $532.50
(with advance purchase and water fun option)
As you can see the Ten Day pass could be a better option and as long as you have the no
expiration option you are not tied to a 12 month return period as you are with the annual pass. If
your vacations will take up more than 10 days then an annual pass would be the better buy but only if you plan on spending most days visiting one of the major parks,or plan on using an annual pass to obtain discounted Disney resort rates.

Make A Photo Copy Of All Your Tickets
When you receive your Disney tickets, always make a photo copy of the side with the magnetic
stripe. The letters and numbers on the stripe will enable Disney to identify and reissue your
tickets in the
event of loss. Keep the photocopy separate from your tickets. That way if you should lose your
original tickets you will have
some chance of getting them replaced. Without the photocopy you will be out of luck!If you buy your tickets at the gate keep your receipt this will also enable Disney to reissue your tickets.

Always Check For Discounts!
Remember before buying any Disney tickets always check for available discounts .If you are not
a
Florida resident your best bet will be an authorized ticket broker like
Maple Leaf Tickets
If you
are a resident of the U.K or elsewhere in Europe, check Disney's International site for special
deals not available in the U.S.A but bear in mind, given the present rate of exchange, that deals
available at U.S based authorized ticket brokers may still work out cheaper..
